Animated introduction to Israel-Palestine conflict

From Jonas Schafer: 'here is a good material - a  short comic movie - to use in education.  it is a quite balanced short history of the israeli-palestinian conflict from the "Jewish Voices for Peace"'

Some useful links for resources

1.
http://www.militaryfreeschools.org/curric.htm
I didn't go through all their pages and I don't necessarily agree with everything they say, but it's worth to visit and see what you can wanna take or not.

2.
http://www.teachpeace.com/movies2all.htm
They have LOTS of media resources you can use regarding the issue. Most of their links seem available.

Hope this blog will remain active and we can actually DO something with it! :)

Global Campaign for Peace Education (GCPE)

Hello dear friends, hope everything's going well with you.

First of all, thanks to David for such a rapid work ;)

Here's the info. for the Global Campaign for Peace Education (GCPE) that I mentioned during our meeting. They send you a monthly e-newsletter if you sign-up, or you can just visit their website. Their newsletter is about "news, events, action alerts and reports of peace education activities and developments from around the world." I'm sure they provide it in various languages other than English as well(not in Korean though..T-T) It's pretty  cool, so I recommend you to visit the website below.

UK - lesson plans in response to military celebrations

In the UK, Forces Watch challenges the armed forces on the ethics of their recruitment practices, including the 'soft recruitment' of military events and celebrations.  They have collected some lesson plans for different age groups on some of the themes involved:
